Documentary sees production in Huangshan

A documentary named The Great Huangshan Mountain began production in Xidi township of Yixian county, Anhui province, on August 13.

The documentary, jointly produced by Anhui Broadcast and Television and China Central Television (CCTV), contains six 50-minute episodes. It will be broadcast on CCTV-9 Documentary Channel and Anhui Satellite TV during the National Day holiday this year.

The documentary's art director is Chenxiaoqing, the director of the famous documentary A Bite of China. Using advanced aerial photography, it depicts the natural scenery, history and culture of Huangshan Mountain, casting light on the rich culture of the beautiful mountain with a series of stories.

The documentary was shot in scenic areas such as Huangshan Mountain, Hongcun village and Yuliang Dam. In Xidi, the filming also features full-view aerial photography as well as scenic spots. The production also features several famous painters.
