The 2011 Chinese Culture Tour in Anhui and the 8th China Global Tours Forum were held at the Sofitel Grand Park Hefei from Feb 19 to Feb 21. The annual event was organized by the provincial tourism administration of Anhui and the municipal government of Hefei, and jointly handled by Hefei municipal tourism administration and Anhui Global Tours Co Ltd (AGT).

The forum, first convened in 2004 by AGT, is held in Hefei every year between February and March. This month’s meeting marked the eighth successful event.

More than 1,000 representatives from the tourism industry and media of China, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, the United States and Africa also attended the event.

The organizers said that the national tourism administrations of Singapore, Thailand and other foreign countries sought new partnerships with their Chinese counterparts at the forum.

This forum’s theme this year was “Anhui Culture Enriches Tourism”, and provided a platform to promote local tourism to the representatives.
