Hefei opens its first Europe-bound flight route
Updated: 2014-04-02

Starting on March 30, Hefei Xinqiao Airport opened a new flight route to Frankfurt, Germany. This is not only the first intercontinental airline service from Hefei, but also the first Europe-bound airline in Anhui province.

The flight CA931 takes off from Hefei Xinqiao Airport every day at 8:25, then stops at Beijing Capital Airport at 9:55 and flies on again at 14:00. It arrives at Frankfurt Main at 18:15 local time. The return flight CA932 departs at 20:15 local time, then stops at Beijing from 11:25 to 13:25 the next day, reaching Hefei at 15:15. The 16-hour-and-50-minute flight includes 12 hours and 45 minutes flying time.

As the first European-bound airline service from Anhui province, the new flight route will greatly facilitate business and leisure travelers, and it will also benefit Hefei's opening up and outbound economic development. In addition, the Anhui Transportation Department is now working with the airport on new flights to Los Angeles.

Passengers on this flight get their boarding passes for both the domestic and overseas sectors, and their luggage is directly shipped to Frankfurt. After arriving at Beijing, they are brought to their connecting gate by specialist staff.

The full price for a one way economy class ticket is 15,400 yuan ($2,479.19) with 1315 yuan ($211.79) for tax. A round trip ticket costs 23,780 yuan ($3,828.26) and 3,237 yuan ($521.11) for tax. Different discounts will be available according to the time of booking. A promotional campaign is being carried out over the next two months. Presently the lowest price is 4,250 yuan ($684.19) (tax excluded), and more discount policies are still in the pipeline.
