Intelligent Tourism projects underway: full Wi-Fi coverage at seven Hefei tourist attractions to be achieved
Updated: 2014-03-12

It was announced at the Hefei Tourism Working Conference that construction work at seven pilot scenic spots is in full swing. Full Wi-Fi coverage can be expected in spots like China's Intangible Cultural Heritage Park, the former residence of Li Hongzhang, Sanhe ancient town, Binhu Wetland Forest Park and Ziwei Cave.

By May 20, visitors to China's Intangible Cultural Heritage Park will be able to enjoy comprehensive cell phone tourism tips. Not only will there be a digital panoramic display, but also voice navigation will be available on the phones.

Sanhe ancient town, too, is currently working on the development of Apps, QR codes, Wi-Fi and voice navigation. In the former residence of Li Hongzhang, in addition to Apps and Wi-Fi, a statistical system for passenger flow and panoramic virtual tours will also be introduced. At the same time, a one-card solution is being built in the Binhu Wetland Forest Park. Once completed, visitors to the park will be able to ride sightseeing shuttles, bicycles and dark-awning boats using just one card. An intelligent guidance system and full Wi-Fi coverage will also be available in the park.
