Huangshan Mountain was the only scenic spot from Anhui province to make the list of 2013 National Ecological Tourism Demonstration Areas announced recently.

Huangshan Mountain has always focused on ecological conservation and sustainable development. Many efforts have been made to create an atmosphere for low-carbon and ecological tourism.

Ever since it started preparations for nomination last March, Huangshan Mountain has integrated development and conservation, fulfilling 280 demands one-by-one. Eventually, the area passed technical appraisal and examination.
