On July 11 Beijing time, a video on Hefei, capital of Anhui province, made its debut on a huge screen at New York's Times Square. To present the "Glamour of Hefei" to the world, the promo video will be aired 20 times a day over the next 120 days.

The electronic screen stands at Times Square, known as the "Crossroads of the World", where an average of 40 million tourists from all around the world set foot annually. The new promotional window will introduce Hefei’s most representative landscape and culture to the world.

Local celebrities such as Li Hongzhang and Bao Zheng appear in the 30 second promo, as well as Hefei's cityscape, among which Chaohu Lake and hot springs are the most attractive spots.

The images present not only Hefei's landscape but also its spirit. For example, Li Hongzhang was a representative of the Westernization Movement in Modern China, and Bao Zheng was an upright official and dutiful son.
